Debbie on BBC1

On Monday 28th October 2024 , Debbie appeared on BBC1 Morning Live. The focus of the TV show that week was common scams and how to avoid them. Interviewed by Matt Allwright, Debbie spoke about her own very recent experiences as a victim of a car parking scam. At the time of the scam and receiving a text message for non-payment of a car parking charge, Debbie felt panicked into paying as the text seemed genuine. It was fortunate that her bank recognised suspicious acitivities and put an immediate stop on all card payments. The bank even called Debbie to check on her banking activities.
